Born in Orlando FL (yes there really are native Floridians!), moved to Ft. Wayne IN the last week of December 1989. I am very happily married to Mike Nickols since 1997; we are a blended family of 4 sons and two daughters; so far, we have 6 grandchildren, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. So grateful God gave me the call to be a Mom cause the best gig in the universe is being a Grandma! After 14 years of attending college, I finally graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology with a Business Management major and Psychology minor. Mike and I own a business as well as Pastor Envision. It is totally my heart to bring the next generations through loving God with all their hearts, loving each other and living life on purpose with the purpose God placed in their heart. Besides, pastoring with Mike, teaching occasionally, leading Envision Women and overseeing Envision Kids, I love seeing people being transformed into the beautiful creation God designed them to be.

As a native Fort Wayne resident I am committed to building the Kingdom of God here in this city. I have always been fascinated and moved by music and consequently so have spent the majority of my life listening to, singing, playing and writing it. This passion for music has translated into an enormous passion for Worship. I love serving with this Worship team and am finding that as we grow (not only spiritually but musically) I am more and more blessed and honored to be involved
I am also honored to be involved with SALt (our young adult group) and Envision Revolution (our youth group). These two groups are outlets for people to connect and build friendships. Relationship and community is what drives my involvement in SALt and Envision Revolution. The friendships formed in these groups are the kinds of friendships you read about in memoirs, life long

How To Get Involved ?
We believe that all ministry should come from a desire to fulfill God's call on your life and to serve others. The doors to servant hearted ministry are always open. You access them by coming along side the ministry you want to be involved in as a servant. As your servant heart is validated and your gifting and calling is confirmed, you will move into more and more responsibility. If you feel God directing you in certain areas contact the leaders in those areas and ask them how you can contribute.
Is Envision Affiliated With A Denomination?
We are non denominational. We are evangelical and charismatic and we are apart of the new reformation that is a passionate pursuit of God in a non religious way. Tyler Nickols who leads worship graduated from Hillsong leadership college in Sydney Australia. From Tylers experience, and his brother Craig being in college at Hillsong for last three years, we have been given many connections and shared convictions as well as ministry opportunities, with Hillsong Church and ministry.
Most of the leadership of Envision has been very much involved with Hillsong, Hillsong United, Hillsong London at various levels and places including Hillsong conferences multiple times in Sydney. Brian Houston who is the senior pastor at Hillsong is the head of the Assembly of God denomination in Australia. Also we financially support Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen ministries and feel very much one with their type of ministry and the style and direction of those organizations. We have been to Catalyst conferences the last several years put on by John Maxwell and led by Andy Stanley and Louie Gigglio and Passion and Steve Fee worship. We fully support these ministries as well as Rick Warren (Saddleback Church) and the Purpose Driven Life, and Bill Hybels of Willow Creek, one of the largest churches in America. Generally all of these churches and ministries support a passionate pursuit of God in a non religious way, extravagant costly worship, and fulfilling your destiny that God created you for. People who are open to and hunger for these things will find a deep bond with us.
About Divorce And Divorced People
Envision feels very much called to divorced people and their families. We have seen amazing contributions to the Kingdom of God from thousands of people and their families that have been in every role of a divorce situation.
We know the way to healing, wholeness, and the full on life for the divorced adults, the step families, the natural children of divorce and parents, grandparents and all others connected to this life trauma. We can help any and all find their place in the kingdom of God. We welcome and pursue a relationship with any and all that are hurting and want to find their way to the abundant life God has for them as first class citizens in the kingdom of God.
What does Envision believe are grounds for divorce?
a. We believe that Gods plan is for two people to seek His face before marriage to find out Gods plan for a spouse and for their joint life together. Then according to Gods plan, the marriage should be until death do you part. As such all divorce is a failure of Gods intention and has sin all around and through it. Without exception, both parties have some responsibility in a failed marriage.
b. That being said, divorce and all its related conditions are sins like lying, murder, adultery etc and can be completely forgiven. Justification takes place when Christs blood is applied, which makes us just as if we never sinned. The sins are forgotten by God never to be remembered again.
Do You Think People Who Are Divorced Should Be In Positions Of Leadership?
a. Absolutely without restrictions of any kind because of the divorce. They need to qualify as a leader just as anyone else does.
What Is Envisions Position On Keeping A Marriage Together?
a. Our position is everyone involved should forgive each other, admit their mistakes and seek forgiveness. They should deal with unhealed hurts, unmet needs and unresolved issues fully and completely until they are made whole. They should both passionately seek a deepening relationship with Jesus and discover what His plan is for their life. This will restore any marriage and put it on the right foundation for long term success.
b. If two people could fix the marriage enough to stay together without getting and giving forgiveness, and finding their way to passionately pursuing God and finding His plan for their lives, they accomplish little more in our view, than straightening up the chairs on the Titanic. Gods plan at the end of the day is relationship with Him and following His plan for your life and everything else falls in line behind that.
c. Our position is that remaining legally married but divided spiritually, emotionally, and physically is definitely not Gods best for his children and in fact is worse than divorcing and finding the whole and abundant life with God that is Gods plan for each of us. Sometimes it takes a great failure to recognize that we need God and His mercy more than we need to be right. While some may find this offensive, a majority of the church and clergy have voted for the truth of this reality with their feet.
d. Couples struggling in their relationship can and should compromise and work through issues such as the direction of the toilet paper roll, whether a dog or a cat is the way to go, do we drive a truck or a van, who will do the dishes and so forth. Compromising the core issues of life such as;
i. Passionately pursuing God, versus getting over this religion thing and getting back to our normal life
ii. what your calling is and how that will be lived out (settling down with the white picket fence vs. a missionary calling to Africa)
iii. How your family will pursue their relationship with God (sacrificing for home schooling or Christian school vs. buying that new boat, or being a part of the full on passionate church and life vs. the Community church of silent sleepers).
iv. These major life issues are the reason God told the Israelites and Solomon not to take foreign wives (this applies to both sexes). Because if you do they will demand compromises and you will do it, leading you away from the Lord your God. Solomon did it, as did the Israelites throughout their history. This is why we must be careful on the front end that the spouse we choose to marry has the same calling and vision for life that we do. Once we have set our life toward pursuing God with all our hearts, then nothing should get between us and the full on pursuit of God. The idea is for each person to be in passionate pursuit of God and bring the spouse to a similiar deep relationship with God, not for a compromise on core values that water down the entire spiritual life and direction of the family.
What does Envision believe about Baby Dedication?
1Samuel 1:10 Crushed in soul, Hannah prayed to GOD and cried and cried--inconsolably. 11Then she made a vow: Oh, GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, If you'll take a good, hard look at my pain, If you'll quit neglecting me and go into action for me by giving me a son, I'll give him completely, unreservedly to you. I'll set him apart for a life of holy discipline. Then verse 24 Then she took him up to Shiloh, bringing also the makings of a generous sacrificial meal--a prize bull, flour, and wine. The child was so young to be sent off!
25 They first butchered the bull, then brought the child to Eli.26 Hannah said, "Excuse me, sir. Would you believe that I'm the very woman who was standing before you at this very spot, praying to GOD? 27I prayed for this child, and GOD gave me what I asked for. 28 And now I have dedicated him to GOD. He's dedicated to GOD for life."Then and there, they worshiped GOD.
Then in Luke it talks about Jesus dedication.
Luke 2: 21-23 Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named Jesus, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived. 22 Then it was time for the purification offering, as required by the law of Moses after the birth of a child; so his parents took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord. 23The law of the Lord says, "If a woman's first child is a boy, he must be dedicated to the Lord."
Baby Dedication is presenting your child to the Lord to be His. It is more of a committment of the parents and family to raise the child to know Jesus as savior and Lord and to follow Him throughout life. What about Infant Baptism, where does that fit in?
Infant Baptism is defined by those who believe in it as applying the grace of God to a childs life. It is before they reach the age of accountability in the Catholic church to be followed by a confession of sin and acceptance of Christ later in first communion rites and confirmation. In some churches, Infant Baptism is the complete work of salvation and bringing a person into the Church and the family of God.
o Infant Baptism is not mentioned in scripture
o It is first observed in Church history around 300AD
o Scripture does not speak against it
o It is inferred in some peoples view by Household conversions and baptisms.
Acts 16:31They replied, "Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with your entire household." 32Then they shared the word of the Lord with him and all who lived in his household. 33That same hour the jailer washed their wounds, and he and everyone in his household were immediately baptized.
However, other scriptures are weighted another way:
o 1 Cor 1:17 the apostle Paul says For Christ didnt send me to baptize but to preach the gospel
o Acts 8:36-37 says As they rode along, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Look! There's some water! Why can't I be baptized?" "You can," Philip answered, "if you believe with all your heart." And the eunuch replied, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
This is obviously implying that you need to believe before you can be baptized.
Why Did they do Infant Baptisms?
There are different reasons and practices by church and by time in history. However, the main ones are as follows
High infant mortality rates made people very concerned about the fate of their children who might die before they could come to faith. They wanted a way to apply the grace of God to their children before they reached the age of accountability or could actually choose to accept Christ.
The second major reason was it made everyone included from the beginning. A part of the household of faith and a part of the community.
Today, roughly half of those who claim to be Christians baptize and half dedicate their infants.
Why do we dedicate instead of baptize?
Envision dedicates infants because we believe salvation and every good thing comes from the choice to believe God, to trust in His love and in His sacrifice and in His wisdom. We believe that when you truly believe and transfer your trust from yourself or whatever to Jesus, you are saved born again, redeemed and your life begins to show the fruit of change.
Redemption has a look. The look is God is no longer a stranger but a close friend. Our guilt and shame begin to fade. Meaning and purpose comes to our lives. Joy and peace are in growing abundance in our lives. We begin to really care about others and they about us. We start to want different things and behavior begins to change because we are truly different.
When I was a baby I was baptized in two different churches and dedicated in one. (My parents church, my Grandparents church and my aunts church)
I went to church less than 10 times from age 6 to age 22. I was a confessing agnostic. I lived a completely self centered heathen life.
d. At 22 when I met Jesus by asking Him into my heart as my Savior and Lord, my life radically changed. Everyone who knew me, could clearly see I was different. None of my old friends wanted to be around me because instead of doing the things we always did together, I wanted to talk about Jesus.
In a similar situation Britain as a country has been historically Anglican in England and Presbyterian in Scotland, both denominations that baptize infants. In 1930 approx 75% of the country went to church and somewhere around 85-90% were baptized as infants in either the church of England or the church of Scotland. Today, less then 3% go to church, although well over 60% continue to be baptized as infants. As high as 60% of Brits say they do not believe in any higher power. 5% today are Muslim, and the country is full of people who truly believe that they have tried Christianity and it had nothing to offer them.
Contrast with That:
Around the World today, a Christian awakening is taking place. Over 10,000 people a day are accepting Christ as their Savior in China. Africa is having meetings were 1 million get saved in a single meeting. Indonesia a country historically Muslim, now has 17% on fire Christians. Central and South America have grown from less then 1% to 50% in many countries. America and Australia are having spiritual awakening as well. Europe is the very sick man of faith in the world.
The point of this is whether it is in my personal life or the life of Great Britain, infant baptism does not in my view convey spiritual life. Neither does a ceremony of dedicating a child. It is a choice to make Jesus your savior.
As far as getting children to that decision, and there position under grace until they reach an age of accountability, It is the relationship of the guardian, the fiduciary with Christ and their commitment to fulfill the calling and destiny of a parent to raise children, not to be religious but to know the Lord as the Apostle Paul did as described in Phil 3 7-8.
Phi 3: 7-8 But whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [[a]one combined] loss for Christ's sake.
8 Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish (refuse, dregs), in order that I may win (gain) Christ (the Anointed One),
Many people believe all children are under Grace if they die until they reach the age of accountability. Others believe the fate of the fiduciary is shared by the child. I lean toward the latter myself.
Going through a nice religious ceremony may feel nice and may be done with the best of intentions but as can be seen from the experience of Great Britain and my personal testimony, it can hardly be called a sure bet to bring people into a vital relationship with Christ.
However, Parents relatives and friends committed to bringing children to an intimate full on relationship with God, will see great success in their kids having the authentic faith God desires for them. The scripture says if you raise up a child in the way he should go, in the end he will not depart from it
So we are really committing ourselves as parents and supporting family and friends to lead transparent authentic lives full of for Christ so our children will see the value of it like the apostle Paul did. If it does not work for you, if you are just a poser at your faith, then they are not going to be interested or even understand real faith.
Choose to believe God can give you the most fulfilling, joyful amazing life possible because it is true. As you go for it, your kids will see your relationship with God and the fruit of knowing Him and want it. That is what baby dedication is really about..
What does Envision believe about Communion?
Communion should be done regularly (once a month or so) but not as a ritual but as an act of worship in remembering Jesus sacrifice on our behalf. It should be worshipful, a fresh and
genuine expression of remembrance and gratitude. Grape juice or wine is fine as is the various
ways of administering it. Common cup, passing out cups and bread, having people come
forward etc.
Does Envision baptize infants?
Not as a normal practice. We believe we are to be baptized after we accept Christ as our savior and that it should be full immersion in water. While we believe baptism to be important and a command of the Lord to be done, we do not believe it to be necessary to salvation. We do not believe it conveys salvation. Infant baptism developed because parents wanted to be assured that their children received the grace of God before they died. While that is a noble concern, we believe that until the age of accountability, children are either under a grace of God extended to all children or they are attached to the fate of their parents. In other words if the parents are believers, their offspring will be viewed by God as believers until they are able to make their own choice. Babies are dedicated to show the parents determination to raise the child to know the Lord, to have the child in authentic worship and around others that hunger and thirst after God. Parents are also saying they will live for Christ themselves, in true worship and in fellowship with others that are running after God. Having said that, we do not believe it hurts the baby to be baptized as in our minds that would be a form of dedication. If a parent wishes to consider a prior infant baptism as their dedication of the child to the Lord, that is certainly acceptable, as in the end, it matters much more what we do than what we pledge to do.
What Are The Backgrounds And Qualifications Of The Leadership At Envision?

He also has attended hundreds of classes and seminars for both business and ministry around the world from the likes of John Maxwell, Zig Zigler, Charles Stanley, Andy Stanley, Brian Houston, Darlene Zschech, Rick Warren, Bill Hybels, Tommy Barnett, Charles Crabtree, Joyce Meyer, James Robison and a host of others. He has been greatly influenced by the writings of C.S. Lewis, GK Chesterton, Joyce Meyer, Brian Houston, John Eldridge, Rick Warren, Charles Stanley, and Joel Osteen. Mike has extensive coaching experience in youth baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. He has coached adult basketball, football, and softball. He has served for over 30 years in missions, church planting, bus ministry youth leadership, young adults and in all areas of church leadership as an elder, and board member. He has been the driving force behind the planting of 5 churches all of which are thriving today.
Sherry Nickols graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology (summa cum laude) with a BS in Business Management; and a minor in Psychology. She has studied extensively in the area of bringing wholeness to people. Her studies include all the writings of Joyce Meyer, Liberty Sevard, Max Lucado and Charles Stanley. She has participated in many seminars of Joyce Meyer, Hillsong Church, Hillsong London, Catalyst, and various other cutting edge ministries.
Mike and Sherry have traveled extensively for both business and ministry throughout Europe (including seven trips to Britain for ministry), Australia, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States.

He has an extensive resource of contacts around the United States and the World from his years at Hillsong and traveling all over the world to visit and minister with the people and ministries God has allowed him to be a part of.

Brad James is graphic arts major and is an accomplished sound and lighting technician. He is a brokerage and administrative manager.
A brief note on Seminaries. It would seem that the prima-facie evidence is that a seminary education is a good thing. You study scripture, original languages, cultural context, and church history, doctrinal positions of various leaders and churches throughout church history and various methodologies of getting out the good news of Jesus Christ. Much like any profession, it is training to do your job effectively. In practice however, a great many leading seminaries have become bastions of critical thinking, questioning the authenticity of scripture, the truth of the fundamental beliefs of the faith and even if many events portrayed in scripture even happened. Thus they have gone from building great men of God to undermining the belief systems of many who came to them full of faith. This has resulted in their graduates presiding over declining churches in declining denominations. On the other hand around the world and in America as well, an awakening is taking place and it is being led by people who have had an authentic encounter with Jesus Christ, have a genuine calling to win people and disciple them, and have a true passion to know God and fulfill His mission for their lives. Some of these men have bible college degrees and/or seminary training, but most do not. Their training has been given by the Lord through life experiences and on the job training. These men are turning the world upside down for the Kingdom of God. While we are certainly not against formal training in Bible or church related higher education, (many of us have various levels of this) we certainly do not think it is a prerequisite to effective ministry.

Envision Media Team
The Envision New Media team exists to effectively communicate the message of Jesus Christ to the people of the earth. We exist to support the mission and vision of Envision Life Center through the effective use of our gifts and talents; to produce quality communication tools with a level of excellence equal to and surpassing that of the secular world.
We are looking for people who have a heart for God and who want to utilize their abilities in graphic arts, computer programming, writing, producing, and others to further the Kingdom of God. Be a part of a dynamic and passionate team of people with a heart to impact the world for the cause of Christ.
We are currently looking for people interested in helping with weekly responsibilities in content creation for the Envision web site, church news, and other special projects that utilize cutting edge multimedia technology that push the envelope of creativity to effectivley convey the life changing message of the church to our community.
Contact Brad James for more information on how you can get involved in this dynamic cutting-edge ministry.
Envision Coffee House
The Coffee House is a ministry that meets every Sunday. The main purpose of Coffee House is people pouring into people, no pun intended and to also make people feel welcome and at home.
If you have decided Envision is your home and you would like to get involved with Coffee house here are a few details:
1. You can expect to be scheduled about once a month
2. We have meetings through the year to discuss new drink ideas and ways to improve Coffee to make it better.
3. We not only meet on Sunday, but once a month for SALT Café and other events throughout the year.
4. SALT Café is when we do a lot of our specialty drinks such as lattes, smoothies, and etc.
Envision Climate Team
The Envision Climate Teams goal
is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout Envision. The church is a place where all should feel welcomed and received. We are human thermostats who set the climate of Envision Life Center through serving and loving those who enter our doors the way Christ has done for us.
If you have the ability to connect and interact with people we are always looking to grow and expand our team and would love for you to join.
Cory Nickols leads this team, if you are interested contact Cory _ 444-3600
Envision Life Center has a very large burden to reach the lost world. Mike and Sherry have felt a calling and responsibility to Great Britain for over 25 years. This has taken them there seven times for ministry.
Envision is currently involved with several works in the United Kingdom and looks forward to sending short term missionaries and long term missionaries as well to impact one of the darker places on the planet, Scotland.
Envision plans to be active wherever in the world God opens doors of opportunity through Hillsong, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, Catalyst or a host of other ministries we love and value.
